Villa Golden Sand

"Villa oli aivan loistava. Tilaa oli paljon vaikka meitä oli 10 aikuista ja 4 lasta. Kaikissa huoneissa oli wc, sekä ilmastointi. Omistaja kävi joka aamu huolehtimassa uima-altaan puhtaudesta. Meri ihan vieressä, jossa sopivan matala ranta lapsia ajatellen. Kauppa oli ihan kulman takana, mikä helpotti ostosten määrää mietittäessä. Autoa suosittelen tähän kohteeseen. Hieman negatiivista oli keittiön varustelu ja pienehkö jääkaappi isoa porukkaa ajatellen."

"Lomamme oli erittäin onnistunut! Seurueemme oli hyvin tyytyväinen villaan ja sen sijaintiin. Tilaa oli runsaasti ja alle kouluikäiset lapset viihtyivät hyvin pihalla, altaassa ja rannalla. Isona plussana marketti ja ravintolat aivan vieressä. Suosittelen, tänne voisin mielelläni palata!"

"This is a great space for 2 or 3 families. Outdoor area around pool works really well and beach very close so the sound of the waves is always there. Owner is a lovely lady and will do anything she can to help. I would thoroughly recommend. Rethymno 10-15 mins for nights out but plenty available locally"

"The villa is beautiful and the place is amazing! Splendid beach view every morning from the terrace of our room.... Golden sand, pool, garden, everything in the place is perfect! Easy to find and very central if you want to discover the island (a car is recommended). The city of Rethymnon is near and you can find all around the place a lot of restaurants and shops. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, as only greek people know to be! We recommend this house, location, place and island!!! We loved our stay!!"

"The villa was clean and had everything we needed. Good location with lovely view of the sea, very easy to access to the beach, 30 second walk down to the front. Bedrooms were a good size all with en suite, although shower cubicles were tiny, there is a bath in 1 of the rooms. There is a shop 2 minute walk up the path which has good selection of food as well as the classic holiday stuff (sun cream, inflatables etc). There are quite a few resturants within easy walking distance, all with similar menu but good food. Roula the owner is lovely and was more Than happy to help us out with anything we needed, we even got some lovely fresh oranges from her family's farm."

"We had a wonderful 2 weeks here in this beautiful and well-equipped villa. It is wonderfully located from the sea - just stroll down through the extended garden and you are there. The best thing about the villa though is the owner, Rula. She will do anything to make you happy! I needed to see a doctor at one point, and she drove me around looking for one that was open, and then spent the whole morning looking for a pharmacy that was open for my prescription (while I waited by the pool!). She really is an angel. She also provided toys and a paddling pool for the children and mosquito repellant when we needed it. Lots of nice restaurants very close-by too. Highly recommended and an easy 1 hour drive from Heraklion Airport."

"The location of the villa was adequate. We had a car which was good. Without a car travel would be very difficult. The property was clean. The beds were a little uncomfortable however, I wonder if maybe that is the norm in Crete. Roula, the owner, was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. She made sure things were going smoothly for us. About 4 km away there was a great variety of restaurants and shops. Any of the tour companies for excursions would pick up close by. "
